Snagit screen grabs blurry

The screen shots I'm taking with Snagit are not consistent. Sometimes the resolution is spot on; sometimes it's off. And it's from the same screen grab. I'm on a MAC and using Chrome. Anyone else have this issue? It never used to be like this. Check out these screen grabs from Facebook - some are clear; some not.

Hello Nikki,

I searched our system but couldn't find a support incident under your name. Do you know the incident number that was generated for the issue (it would have been emailed to you); or if not, do you know the date you originally submitted the issue?

I'm having this exact issue. Chrome 16.09. Mac OSX Lion. Macbook Air 2nd Gen. Connected 27 LED Thunderbolt display. Snagit v1.0.4 (57392)

Sometimes the screen grab is crystal clear, but 80% of the time they're blurry. Same experience on native display or external.

I just took 6 grabs native display. 5 came out blurry:

1 came out clear:

I am having the exact same problem. Several years ago, when you would paste a screenshot, the pasted version was the exact same size as the screenshot and was perfect. When they changed the version so that now when you paste and the pasted version is re-sized smaller, the text quality is terrible.

Tiffany, thank you, that worked. I was mainly experiencing the problem when emailing with Windows Live Mail. Once the image is pasted into the mail, you have to click on the image, after which a new tab (picture tools) appears on the menu bar under that is a Format tab. From there you can select Original size. I could not find anyway of setting it so that it would always paste in at 100%.
