I am not sure I understand the difference between SnagIt and Jing? Why would I use one as opposed to the other?

Hey Marc,

Great question! Jing is built to quickly snap and share a screenshot or quick video, and to do so easily and efficiently. Snagit also has those capabilities, but has a feature set that expands beyond that. With Snagit, you have image editing capabilities, as well as a more robust video recording experience.

Here is an article describing Snagit's additional features: http://www.techsmith.com/jing-snagit....

As Jing is a free download, and Snagit has a free 30 day trial, I'd recommend you try them both out, and see which one works better for you.

Does Snagit have some of the same features as Jing like posting a link for an image and integrating with tools like Podio.

You should be charging $9.95 for Jing. Then lower price of Snag it to $29.95. You'll make more money will more people upgrading. $50 is too much! With Jing providing the services I need and Snag it appearing to slow down the process with all the options/choices! At $29.95 Ok. $49.95 ... a deal breaker!!! Been using Jing for years!!! Free works for me!!! In fact I've got an old copy of snag-it! Never bothered to install it. I think we bought it on an educational site when my daughter was in school.

"as well as a more robust video recording experience."

I'm having a hard time finding a side-by-side breakdown of these. Trying to decide between Jing vs Snagit vs Camtasia. Could you provide a breakdown (or link me to one!) of exactly what each product has over the next?

Thanks!
