SnagitHelper2019 wants to use your confidential information...

Keep getting pop-up message stating "SnagitHelper2019 wants to use your confidential information stored in "TechSmith Account - Snagit 2019" in your keychain." I'm running macOS Mojave 10.14.3 on a MacBook Pro. It prompts for my password and offers three options: Always Allow, Deny and Allow. I've tried all 3 of them and yet it keeps popping up. Any suggestions?

I have a Mac which is on macOS 10.14.3 (Mojave) and I am using "1Password 7" for my password helper application instead of macOS's Keychain feature.  The way that it has been explained to me is that the purpose of SnagIt's "SnagItHelper2019" (at least as far as how I use SnagIt) is to allow me to once again use SnagIt's "All-In-One" capture feature.

If you want to check and verify that "SnagItHelper2019" has the access that it needs for All-In-One, use the System Preferences app / Security and Privacy feature.  Select the Privacy tab and scroll to Accessibility feature.  Once there, scroll down the list of programs to SnagItHelper 2019, and select it by placing a checkmark in the empty box that precedes it.  If SnagItHelper2019 (or SnagIt 2019) is unchecked, you will first need to select the padlock at the bottom of the window and enter your macOS account password in order to unlock the ability to make changes,  Then add a checkmark in the empty box.  Lock things back up once you're done.

We just released a 2019.1.3 update that should greatly reduce the frequency of these dialogs. You may still see 1 or 2, but if you enter your password and choose "Always Allow", then they shouldn't come back at all.
