There was a recent update with snagit that allows you to take a snip it (using the snipping tool) and then it opens snag it to edit it. I clicked it but its very annoying, how do i remove this feature so that if i use snipping tool it doesn't automatically open snag it editor?

Thanks Paul, just a quick clarification for other users, this settings menu is found off the SnagIt Capture Tool and not the Editor.

Thanks.  Good feature in theory but I too found it too annoying to pop up every time I want to do a clip.  It would be better to have a popup option.

Thank you.  I would never have figured that setting to be the solution!

So I have the opposite request. The (Win+Shift+S) shortcut is far more efficient than Snagit's capture button.  Is there a way to have that snipping tool open up snagit only, instead of opening the windows snipping tool editor AND snagit?

Hey Elijah,

You should be able to alter the global hotkey for the capture (shown below), but you may not need too. The "Print Screen" key activates a SnagIt Capture the same way Win+Shift+S would in this scenario.

You may need to disable the Snipping Tool however to avoid a conflict, not sure.

You can find the full hotkey list here
