(Version 2019.0.10 [build 17662] 1999-2020)
When attempting to drag and drop .avi files into Media panel, nothing happened. The solution was to import into the Library, but even then .avi files and .mp4 files would not successfully upload. Either the progress would stall at 96.9%, or Camtasia would stop responding.

There were three steps to resolving this problem:
1) Open the .avi file in powerpoint, save it as an .mp4 format
2) Because the file size was too large, use a tool such as 'Handbrake' to reduce the file size
3) Drag or import the smaller .mp4 file into the 'Library' section

While hopefully this is resolved in later versions, I am assuming there is a codec conflict and an internal logic preventing large file sizes to be uploaded. At the very least there should be error handling warnings to users indicating this is the issue, rather than having to use the Task Manger to End Task and restart Camtasia should the upload fail.

Hopefully this helps!
