Some new user comments on Camtasia Studio

I've been using Camtasia for a short time now and I enjoy the great video editing features and the convenient upload to YouTube features.

It always tells me my upload may fail because it exceeds YouTube limits, but I have an account that allows greater than 15 minute uploads. I can't turn that message off.

It has some issues with audio recording that I can't figure out. I use a studio mic for my audio and use some software DAWs as well and there is no ASIO support - fairly standard in Pro Audio, so I have to modify drivers and things often.

When I use my webcam, it has an integrated mic. I disable that mic (in Device Manager) so that I can use my studio mic. However Camtasia still uses the integrated mic from the webcam for its audio track - that is just wrong.

I once made a long video and when done, the .trec file was about 500MB but when loaded it was empty - just one or two seconds - no video or sound. I deleted it and tried again - now its OK.

One of the reasons I use video now is because I have a problem using my dominant right hand and typing is harder, so I switch to video for communicating rather than text.

I am dyslexic - I confuse right and left - and now I have to learn to use a mouse with my left hand.

On the left-handed mouse I have swapped primary and secondary mouse buttons so that the index finger is still the primary clicker and the other, less dominant finger is on the other button. This mirror-image reversal feels natural.

My mouse control panel visually shows the swapped status of the buttons, but the Camtasia mouse affects menu tabs visually show the older primary and secondary views of the mouse buttons. They are swapped (or rather unchanged from the default).
