Something new this way comes

Hi gang

I've been hanging around these forums for a while now and trying to help when and where I am able. And in the time I've spent here, I've noticed that there is all sorts of help available for our screencasting adventures. Kayakman has gobs of videos he has created. Lon Naylor has other videos. There are sometimes simple forum post threads that offer useful advice. And so on and so on.

The main problem is that while all this information exists, it's in many different places with no main focal point to find it. Some is on, some is on YouTube, some here in the Get Satisfaction forum, and even more generically found via Google searches.

Today, I'm very pleased to publicly announce a new and completely free resource I've created that will hopefully assist us all in more easily locating information we need to help one another out. This is attempting to help average users as well as those of us trying to help support Camtasia.

I've constructed a site and have a domain name pointing to it. The site name is And the link is:

I'm hoping we all find it to be a useful resource. It's been a few months in the making.

My first thought - who on Earth IS this guy who joined two days ago yet claims to have been posting "for a while now"?

Then I took a look at the contents of the site and thought "I hope the people who created this stuff are OK with it being portaled like this..."

Then I noticed the absence of anything from Joe and thought "That's odd".

Then I found this link and realised that (b) isn't an issue, (c) is now understandable, and also that "new" is perhaps a relative term.

What's with the "secret squirrel" identity and the (re)posting of one year old "news", though... that I'm less than clear about.

I'm unsure what your point is?

The point is rather obvious, I would have thought.
(a) This was posted under the nonsense name of "MrLee123" instead of your own. Since "Mr. Lee" claimed to have been posting "for a while now" from an account which was created only 2 days ago with a total of 1 post, this made me suspect "spammer" before I found the other thread about it; and second
(b) It announces as "new" something that you announced about a year ago. I suppose in terms of the pyramids, it is.

Not the most open and transparent post, in the circumstances. I wasted time trying to figure out whether I needed to report it as spam, which would have been avoided had the actual author been stated up front.

Is that clear enough?
