Oh BUllshit. Windows 10 can blow out and break without any help. It's updates break things and they will not help you fix them. Snagit is in version 13, If you want 12 or 11 they have those available
But PLEASE ... stop the nastiness. Present your issue with as many details as possible and someone whot just owns the thing and is willing to help others will try to help you. Perhaps someone from Techsmith. If that doesn't work OPEN A TICKET
But "rip off" when just starting a help request? Grow up
PS If you cant get what you want from that link, come on back and lets figure it out together

I have just checked your "oldversions" link because I am balancing pros and cons of leaving version 13 and trying out version 12.

I have found a download for version 12.4.1, but could not recognize its language.

So this is my question: Are the "oldversions" downloads language independent (I would prefere the German language version)?

We do not currently have a old version page for different languages. I'm not sure why we do not have this page in German and started an internal conversation to see if we can get one created.

In the meantime, you can download all the German language versions from our FTP site If you look in the path /pub/products/snagit/deu you should be able to see all of the different versions there.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Hi jamiekj6fe95677,

I think what the other users pointed out is probably accurate. You purchased an older version of the product than you downloaded and that's why it looks like you need to repurchase -- major version upgrades are not free.

The "old versions" page is the way to get the version you're licensed to use

If you purchased through the TechSmith store, your original email receipt should also contain a link to the correct version for you to download.

More recently, we've started placing your keys -- and the download links -- into your TechSmith account, which you can access under the "products" tab at However, this will only show keys that were purchased if you were signed in through the TechSmith store at checkout and probably only keys purchased within the last two or three years. I used the world probably in that last sentence because there were cases where we have been able to backfill data into some users accounts.

I hope this helps!
