Hello,
A lot of users "Myself Included" have been actively reporting Spam to the Get Satisfaction forum.
I can't seem to { GET SATISFACTION }.
I use a number of different forums that seem to know how to control spam.

I'm tired of reporting Spam. This should be Get Satisfactions responsibility. They seem to be content letting us discover the posts for them. {:>(

I think it's time to look into Dumping this Site Provider.

My biggest concern in doing so?
A lot of Members & TechSmith personal have invested THEIR time trying to help others.

I not sure if it can be done, but I think it's "Extremely Important" that these Questions and Responses don't Vanish if switching to a new forum.
This has gone on Far To Long!!!!

Regards, Joe

Joe,

We hear you.  I've personally banned 3 spammers in the last 3 days.  It's annoying to be sure.  But it doesn't take a long time for a moderator to ban a spammer and remove all content.  As someone who has been helping moderate the TechSmith forums for over 12 years, I can confidently say that the spam is a problem for all public forums, and it was far worse with the prior platform.

GetSatisfaction hears us too.  Yesterday, I received an email from the GetSatisfaction CEO stating that preventing spam is their top priority, and that changes should be rolling out in the next few weeks to combat the spam.  In addition, they're planning longer term controls for admins, moderators, and even end users to allow us to adapt to the changing tactics employed by the people posting the spam.

We sincerely appreciate your contributions to this board.  Thank you.
