Camtasia is a good video editing software for youtubers and manyothers. It takes video editing to a whole new level. Thanks for the team who created this. But For youtubers like us ,we want something special like a spectrum effect in videos .Many of the musicans in youtube would get benefitted who didn't know how to create spectrum effect. Most of the online folks would have this idea but they are lazy to just vote or signup and then vote. You may tell that it is not accepted by your camtasia developers but you really concern for video editors like us .Then a spectrum effect is needed for video editors like us .You may not know the need for it .But we ,editors are really looking forward to it .I hope you take this idea in your mind. You are asking why? but people would love to see a video with a spectrum  bumping instead of a image while listenning to a sound or while seeing a video. You may ask why we want this? This is like why you don't see a black and white t.v instead of a colour t.v.This gets evolved right.Just like that ,Spectrum effect is just like a coloured t.v.People want this so badly.

Hi there

As I read this it occurs to me that the good folks at TechSmith might find themselves as confused as I am when they read "spectrum effect".

What might prove to be immensely helpful would be if you were to be able to point to a video where you see such a desired effect.

Cheers... Rick :)

Audio Spectrum examples, There are many styles to chose from. I prefer an overlay like door number one.

DOOR # 1

Interesting. I wouldn't have made that connection. I might have if it had been referred to as volume levels or equalizer or something like that. Or maybe even "Audio Spectrum" effect.

For some reason, in my mind's eye I was visualizing perhaps a transition effect similar to this:

Or this:

I'm also assuming that for it to be truly useful, it would need to be connected to the actual audio. Not something like this GIF image from PresenterMedia.com.

Cheers... Rick :)

Yes it would have to correlate with the audio playing.

Or, it wouldn't make any sense . It would be irritating to watch an ill timed audio animation.

However, I'm pretty sure that's what the poster of this request is asking for.

This is the plug in "BCC 9 Beat Reactor"
