Spinning Beach Ball of Death not Snagged

Like all other screen capture software, also SnagIt AND Camtasia 2019 does not correctly record the mouse cursor, if it appears as the "Spinning Beach Ball of Death" on Mac. Please urgently add this feature, because if writing feedbacks or reporting bugs and crashes (to any software manufacturer), this is crucial for correct documentation. Many thanks in advance.

Hi Roland,

Could you open a support ticket for this issue at https://support.techsmith.com? Snagit and Camtasia should both be capturing your cursor and not the beach ball.

Sorry, I misunderstood this comment. I thought you were _only_ capturing the beach ball.

In Snagit if you look under the stamps, there is a cursor stamp that looks like the beach ball, as a workaround you can replace the cursor with that stamp.

I don't have as elegant of a solution for Camtasia, you could make a custom image and animate it manually.

We're not sure if it's possible to capture anything other than the default cursor, but it's something we can look at.

No, that would be fake. If I want to send in a bug report, it should show the real behaviour what happened. And the spinning beach ball of death is something of the more ugly things happen to your Mac software.

Just looking at the original post:

If all other software cannot do it either, perhaps it's physically not possible to achieve?

Cheers... Rick :)

Hi Rick, perhaps TechSmith, claiming to be creator of THE state of the art capturing software Camtasia and SnagIt (btw: same problem in SnagIt), should solve that problem. Or getting in touch with Apple developers in charge of such things to solve that problem. If I make a Camtasia movie or SnagIt image of a crashed program, I want to capture the screen originally, without utilising an external camera for rolling or shooting the screen with that spinning beach ball of death (sounds like "Killer tomatoes").
Cheers... Roland :)
