Please add stablization feature. It would make editing so much easier. I just did it on Youtube but took forever to load then extra time editing to match up into existing footage. It would be great if we can select short sections to be stablized and make editing so much faster.

One thing that newer folks may miss is the fact that Camtasia is rooted in recording screen activity. As such, there was never any need for stabilization. Later, there was an ability to record webcam in addition to screen activity. And even then, there was no need for stabilization. Now we are seeing many folks arrive and wanting to treat Camtasia as a fully fledged video editor along the lines of Adobe Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas.

I'm not saying it will never be added, just adding some background information to alert folks as to why this "basic" feature doesn't seem to exist in Camtasia.

Lastly, I'm a user same as anyone else here. I don't proclaim to be affiliated with TechSmith other than to be a fan of their products.

Cheers all... Rick :)

After several years of people asking for it..... regardless of it's "roots" they still don't have this.  It is an ongoing request and they ARE a video editing software. They should have it.

I have had issues with camtasia and how their software works as a whole.... which is why this evening when I needed image stabilization again I did a search to see if Camtasia was going to add it anytime soon, only to find that yet again another update (cough*** upgrade) and it still doesn't have it. Time for me  to find a new company.

Would be really great if videostabilization would be in Camtasia. Hope soon, cause otherwise our company has to look at other software with that option!

As you can see this thread is about a year old... with no word from the company. I haven't upgraded or plan to continue to use them. We have already started using Adobe Premiere if you are a mac user I cannot think of the name but there is a program that only runs on mac that is amazing with image stabilization among other things. It has almost made me switch to mac just for that!! lol

You are talking about Final cut pro... which also has a stabilization feature.
My company and I are also very disappointed not to see such a feature delivered with the software.
