When writing this topic I got this: "We found 1160 similar conversations". ;-)

However I APPEAL to TechSmith implement a Stamps Search feature!

In the meantime, I will explain an alternative Stamps search:

Follow exactly these steps:

1. Download and install Everything from:

2. Start Everything and enter this into the Everything search bar:

a) If you are a user of a former Snagit version who upgraded to Snagit 13:

"C:\Users\Peter\Documents\Snagit Stamps\"|"C:\Program Files (x86)\TechSmith\Snagit 13\Stamps"

• Replace the paths with the according paths on your computer.
• Adjust the user name by replacing "Peter" with your user name.
• Add a space at the end (after the last double quote).

b) If you are a new user of Snagit and your version is Snagit 13:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\TechSmith\Snagit 13\Stamps"

• Replace the path with the according path on your computer.
• Add a space at the end (after the last double quote).

3. In Everything, open the Bookmarks menu and click on Add to Bookmarks...

Ensure that these options are selected in the Bookmark dialog:

Click on OK.

4. In Everything, in the Bookmarks men, click on the bookmark you have created in the previous step.

5. Now enter the search term after the space character at the end of the path(s) in the Everything search bar, e.g. "heart" or "vehicles", for example:

6. Now drag the desired image from Everything to the Snagit Editor window and drop it on the desired image.

Very cool idea! Can this also be done in 12? I agree having a each feature for stamps makes sense.

Of course it works with Snagit 12.

With Snagit 12 you should use only this path in Everything:

"C:\Users\Peter\Documents\Snagit Stamps\"

and replace "Peter" with your Windows user name.

Also check whether this path exists. If necessary, change it to your existing Snagit 12 Stamps path.

I have also found out, that Snagit 13 uses the PDF format for stamps (Snagit 12 still uses the PNG format for stamps). And as Snagit Editor cannot load PDF files, I have to write a batch program which converts the Snagit 13 PDF stamps to PNG images with 32 bit alpha transparency (of course in a different writable directory). When it is ready I will post it here.
