Starting Camtasia Screencast with quiz

Hi there,

when producing a screencast that includes a quiz, Camtasia is creating two Folders (scripts, Skin) and five different files in the root Folder that was Chosen as the Destination Folder for the screencast (name of screencast.html, name of screencast.mp4, name of screencast_config.xml, name of screencast_embed.css, name of screencast_player.html). In case the screencast contains pictures, those pictures would also be stored in the root folder).

To start the screencast containing the quiz, I have to double-click on the file "name of screencast.html".

If I want to share the screencast with the quiz with others, I would like to only share the "starting" file ("name of screencast.html") with the participants, not all files.

Is it possible to configure Camtasia or the html file in that way, that it will start the screencast on the Computer of the users, allthough all files despite of the "name of screencast.html" file are located on a Network drive?

Appreciate your Support, hoping that my description is clear.
Thanks, Peter

Hi there

You need to consider that all the files and folders comprise a working "unit", even though there are several. If this is on a network drive, try sharing the link that points to the HTML page on the network drive. Or you could upload things to ScreenCast.com. Or your own web server.

The bottom line is that the viewer needs to open the HTML file that is in the same location as the other files.

Cheers... Rick :)

Rick is correct; you need to keep all the files together, and you need launch using the xxx.html, or the xxx_player.html file if you want any interactive content, like quiz, captions, TOC, or hotspots, to function
