Step shape size and proportion reset?

Struggling with the shape or proportion and sizes of the "step" shapes.   The struggle is real.  I use the Step feature to annotate images pretty often, love it, and this is one of the features that convinced me to purchase Snagit a few years ago.  However, resizing and keeping proportions correct when switching between the shapes, especially the teardrop is really frustrating.

Is there a way to reset the size and proportions of the Step shapes?

This is an issue I have encountered with both Snagit 12 and 13.

Thanks,

Nate

Still no solution for this???  Its obvious that someone must have messed up the references somewhere and that its giving the icons placed on the canvas the functional attributes that were meant to be for the sidebar selection icons... I see posts on these forums with related issues that go back more than a year... How long does it take to track down something glaring like this?

You can use the following steps to completely reset ALL shapes:

  1. Fully Exit SnagIt Editor (you may have to close it from the System Tray)
  2. On your keyboard, press Windows key + R to open a run prompt
  3. Type %localappdata%\TechSmith\SnagIt\Themes
  4. Delete or move the Backup folder and any *.snagtheme files
When you reopen SnagIt Editor, it will generate a new Backup folder and a new 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000.snagtheme file.
