I run Windows 8.1 on a Dell XPS 15 with a QHD screen (similar resolution to my MacBook Pro 15 retina).
SnagIt renders terribly (to be fair - as do many programs) on the highest resolution of 3200x1800.
When will it SnagIt render properly? I use v11 and tried v12 but is was no better so I went back to v184.108.40.2060.
Currently, SnagIt is basically unusable (you cannot see text when adding a text box whilst you are typing, cannot change the point size and many other issues) unless I change my display options which then negates the QHD resolution benefit for all open programs (which isn't viable).
Or I must plug in to a separate display and that display must be designated as my 'main' display (which is not always viable).
SnagIt on my 2 year old Mac is approx 95% faster than the same capture on my PC (The PC is new and has 16gb Ram with a quad core i7). This is comparing a scrolling page capture in Firefox.
Also, Firefox scrolling page captures always fail if I am using dual monitors and my Dell is set to be the main monitor.
Are then any plans to improve the capture performance? Or has v12 addressed this?
Tagging is worse in 11.4 than earlier versions becuase I can now only do this in the 'library' view. Has v12 gone back to the better way of tagging?
