I wish snagit would stop nagging me to upgrade to the latest version. It already does everything I want it to do. I don't need any new features. I just want it to run quietly in the background until I need it. no popups. No upgrade reminders. Just stop.

There's a setting in the preferences you can disable named "Automatically check for updates".

Rroy, OTH I like the reminders. I have been an early beta tester of Snagit, and a user of it since version 8, in 2006. You said, " I don't need any new features." Well maybe you do not, but I do.

I constantly tell myself, "How can it get any better?" Then a new release comes out and voilà, it does. For instance, in the newest release you can select multiple images from the snapshots on the Recent bar and they will be combined into a new single image.

That feature is incredibly useful. For years I have been manually doing the same task. Now, a few mouse clicks and Snagit automatically does it.

And how about when you rearrange the images in a snapshot? You select part of an image and when you move it, Snagit now shows guide lines so you can align that part of an image with other images.

Those are the most recent updates which I never knew I needed until the "Nag" notice told me there is a new and improved version.

IMHO.
