Suggestion: Extend frame to "fill hole"

I'd like to suggest a feature that I'm pretty sure doesn't exist in Camtasia Studio 8.6.0 (build 2054) for Windows.

When extending a frame, you're given the option to choose the duration for the frame in seconds. It would be great if there were an option to fill whatever space exists between the frame and the next event on the timeline -- a "fill the hole" kind of command -- all events to the right on the timeline remaining where they are.

I like that idea!

And at first I was about to suggest that you should be able to increase it by perhaps a brief bit and then click and drag the edge to get what you want. But I've personally had mixed results trying that approach because I believe I've seen it just adjust not the still frame but it extends the video.

Cheers... Rick :)

Great idea! "Fill to next clip", right? Would save a lot of fiddly time for me.

Keep the great ideas coming!

I work in a Technology Training environment and produce a lot of corporate "how to" videos. I find myself most often using "extend frame" when I need to buy a bit more visual time before the next event in the timeline -- like when there's narration that continues explaining a concept while there's nothing else going on visually. Having a way to do that automatically without pushing other events further out to the right would be a real boon.

You describe about 95% of the cases where I could use this, Grant. One of my current projects includes adding additional narration. I'm spending a lot of time doing the manual fill.

You have my vote on this one! I often find myself moving the clip to a fresh track, extending, then cutting the extra and dragging it back down. Extend-to-fill would be great.
