Suggestion to increase the quality of narration tracks in Camtasia videos

So many times, I work very hard to get the movements and the image sequencing correct in the visual parts of a video that I am creating, and then something happens to make the audio track just not quite correct. I am suggesting here a method where one could edit the audio narration track in a manner where the audio edits remain properly sequenced with respect to time with the video track that they are associated with. It is so frustrating to "goof up" the audio and have to start all over again.  There may be a way that one can re-dictate the narration of an audio track. It would require an add-on developed by Camtasia. I describe it in more detail in a set of YouTube videos. Here's the YouTube url of Part 01.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kVlaXdYzWg&t=76s I named these YouTube videos as:
Camtasia Narration Studio - a suggestion - Part 01. The YouTube videos go from Part 01 to Part 08. My thought is that if people look at these videos and find that they want this capability to be put into Camtasia by Tech-Smith, then send Tech-Smith a note, perhaps they could do it. PG

Well P Gray, color me IMPRESSED!

I’m not sure where you’re located? You could contact TechSmith support directly to speak with them about this.

I can see you put some serious time effort and thought into this.

My initial thought is this. I don’t know who else you would talk to. But I think this has the potential to make a great plug-in for developers like Adobe and others. I think your concept has the potential to be more useful and serve far more people as a plug-in.

Which leads me to, I’m not sure how you protect your idea from theft either? What stops a developer from simply tweaking and stealing your idea if you share it with the wrong people?

Getting Nuance on board is probably the first hurdle? If there unwilling to get on board. That almost kills the idea 100 percent.

I can’t begin to tell you who you might look to, to develop this into a plug-in.

My first thought is Google. I’m 100 percent clueless on the subject and unworthy of giving you advice, all I can do is offer my opinion.

Google has speech to text software as well. It’s not as good as DragonDictate. But it might actually be a simpler way to go? Because they can handle everything in-house. I would think.

I think your concept needs some tweaking. But I think it’s a great concept and I appreciate what you’ve done.

Regards, Joe

Joe, Thanks for your kind reply. I'm in North Carolina. I'm also on LinkedIn. The only person that works for me is....me.   So I don't have the resources to do anything other than make a suggestion. I have a bunch of YouTube videos, all made with Camtasia. I like Camtasia and how its interface is easy and how its results look good. I would suggest to keep my suggestion as a Camtasia item. Inside of my suggestion, the work by Dragon Dictate is critical but it is not the only part of my suggestion. There is also is indexing, video presentation of created work, and also work being created, and there are save and edit options....none of this is really the baliwick of Dragon Dictate. I envision that in the same manner that one (while working inside a Camtasia project) can "grab" noise reduction and place it on a sound track, or one can "grab" sound leveling and place it on a sound track, well.....I like the idea that one could "grab" Narration Studio and place it on a sound track.  When one "placed" Narration Studio on a sound track, then the Narration Studio interface that I describe in my suggestion would open up, one could work inside the interface to get the sound track modified and optimized to where they wanted it to be,  then when one saved inside the Narration Studio option, then that Narration Studio option would close itself and one would be right back inside the Camtasia project that they were in before they "invoked" Narration Studio. My feeling here is perhaps to let the forum just run this suggestion for awhile and as people look at it and then look at the YouTube videos, if they like it and there is sufficient requests for it to be an option in Camtasia, then Tech-Smith can create it.  Dr. Gray
