Suggestion for better pixel accuracy

My apology if this has been covered. When I do a normal region capture I often want to get the capture to an exact pixel starting and ending point. The magnifier is helpful but my mouse is probably set such that the slightest movement makes it very difficult to get the cursor to the exact spot needed. I wonder if it would be possible to add a keystroke such as the Ctrl key to somehow make precision selection easier. If there was some way to show the magnifier and provide keystroke selection after the main capture but before committing it to the editor, I think that would solve the problem for me.

Hi there

Actually, that's one of the little sort of "hidden" features that I use all the time!

When you are using the mouse and you click and get the crosshairs, continue to hold the mouse button down and use the arrow keys on your keyboard to nudge in one pixel increments. Then drag to the other corner and you do the same thing before releasing the mouse button to complete the capture.

Works a treat for me... Rick :)

Thanks for the question and bonus points to Rick on sharing another hidden gem in Snagit. I also wanted to you let you know that in our next release (very soon), we're adding the ability to type in the exact dimensions for your capture once you've made your selection (as seen here):

I hope this helps and thanks again!
