I routinely have to swap two colours around on an icon and then fill the background with a different colour. For example on an icon like this:

Oh the hours I've spent messing around with fills etc. Tonight I discovered that the Filters effect, has an option to swap colours. That makes it a two step 20 second process. Aaaaaargh!

Not perfect but 1000% better than the way I had been doing it.
May I suggest that this colour related tool should be an option under colour replacement or colour adjustment, not buried under filters?
And if moving it would be too disruptive, replicate it, or pull it out as another colour related tool, to complement colour replacement and colour adjustment

Ah, god no. I have to go to bed in a few minutes. Now I will never sleep as I go over the reasons why the earth wasn't created 4,397 years ago or whatever it is she believes.
And on a related note, did you know that the only thing that flat-earthers fear, is sphere itself?

In my version of snagit it is under colours colour substitution. Has this option gone from the 2018 version?

Colour Substitution as a category has gone, They have rearranged / renamed stuff. The actual swap tool still exists, as a filter

I won't be upgrading then. I have already had several rounds of relearning stuff because they have moved things around.

HI there
Of course this is a free country and you are free to operate as you like, but I'd like to suggest that there is a bit of danger in refusing to learn new things.
I say it's a danger, because as you have surely seen, Windows itself changes with each successive iteration. And at some point, you may find that the SnagIt version you presently feel comfortable with no longer functions on the version of Windows you are using because of underlying operating system changes.
And when that happens, you will be faced with a double whammy. You will be forced to upgrade (assuming you still want to be using SnagIt) and it will be even more painful to have to learn using it again.
I know we humans dislike change, but really, it's a core function of our existence. It's constant. The most successful will always be the ones that are able to easily adapt to changes.
Cheers... Rick :)
