OneDrive (formerly Skydrive) Integration for Snagit

Greetings TechSmith!
I've long been a (paid) SnagIt user and am very pleased with the product. However, recently I've come to realize there is a large shortcoming of the SnagIt product that I think would be a great feature to add.
With so many people using syncing tools like Microsoft SkyDrive and Google Drive, it would really be great if there were a way to sync our SnagIt capture libraries across multiple systems using one of these tools.
I've looked into this ability but it appears that the way the SnagIt database is designed, even if you sync the database itself across systems, unless you manually import it each and every time, other systems are not aware of new screenshots as they're taken.
If you could find a way to do this before any of your competition does (I haven't found any others that do this either) I think you'd find a fair return on your investment.
Thanks again for the great product.

AlphaSystemAdmin,

You post is spot on. Let's hope TechSmith hears you/us ... it would be a great boon for those of use using Google Drive/Microsoft Skydive ...

Repeating what you wrote: "If you [Techsmith] could find a way to do this before any of your competition does (I haven't found any others that do this either) I think you'd find a fair return on your investment.
Thanks again for the great product."

I would LOVE to see this - I think a lot of people are using multiple computers (at home and at work, for example) and having to update tens and hundreds of files just ain't working.

Add Microsoft Sky Drive compatibility.

I would love for Snagit Mac (and for PC for That Matter) have the ability to upload screen shots /movies to Microsoft SkyDrive.

I answer questions on Microsoft Answers Forum for Office Mac (excel and word) I find I can give answers that have more effect, and impact than trying to type.

I have another screen grab utility that takes screen shot and I can open SkyDrive and drag and drop. But it not as full featured at Snagit Mac. and the screenshots are more primitive I would rather use Snagit.

I would like the ability to upload to SkyDrive.

Thank you for supporting a multi-platform world.  Could you please add SkyDrive support?

+1 to this request. I'm disturbed by the explicit endorsement of Google Drive and the complete lack of any commitment to other sync/share platforms. I know a lot of professionals who, like me,  use SnagIt in environments with SharePoint, SkyDrive Pro, and SkyDrive. Google Drive is useless in those environments. Please add a sync solution for us, and publicly commit to a multi-platform environment.

Add Share at SkyDrive.

I note that a similar request mas made 2 years ago, but it's even more valid now. Microsoft's SkyDrive as well as Dropbox and Evernote are all available on iOS, Android, and Windows devices (including full computers).  Please add support for more than just Google's Drive and YouTube services.

This is a feature that's under consideration. Please note that our integration with Google Drive is fairly new; as it was only rolled out in November 2013. Integrations such as these take time and resources to implement correctly. We are still measuring data and usage from the recent Google Drive integration and it's value to our customers. I understand people's desire to have Skydrive integration ASAP :-) Please keep +1ing this thread!

Yes, we have explicitly endorsed Google Drive because that's a new feature that we're proud to tout. You can bet that a Skydrive integration would have the same marketing/branding push behind it.

Best,
Dave

OneDrive (formerly SkyDrive) is great. It's accessible cross-platform and you can limit or open access as you like. I used to use Google Drive, but OneDrive suits my personal and business needs much better.

Another vote for SkyDrive. I use SnagIt for business, and I imagine many others do as well. My guess is that many business users may end up using Microsoft products because of the tight integration and compatibility with other business software that was built to run on Windows.

Thanks

IDEA: Add share to OneDrive, Dropbox, Evernote.

[THIS IS A FEATURE REQUEST!
This is NOT a QUESTION (How-To) or PROBLEM (Bug) or PRAISE.
Do NOT merge with NON-IDEA submissions!!!!
Do NOT merge this with your product announcements, either!
None of those are appropriate for a feature request.]

IDEA: Add share to OneDrive, Dropbox, Evernote

Microsoft's OneDrive as well as Dropbox and Evernote are all available on iOS, Android, and Windows devices (including full computers).

Please add support for more than just Google's Drive and (Google) YouTube services.

Hey Bruce,

Just to clarify, we merge to give momentum to great ideas like this. It helps groundswell more to have a bunch of +1s around a single idea than to have the same idea duplicated all around our feedback forum. Having duplicates of the exact same feature request only creates confusion and makes it more difficult to navigate/search. We merge similar posts constantly as a form of housekeeping. Rest assured that your original comment and all the +1s transfer over when merged and it's absolutely no way to silence your request. Get Satisfaction works best when there is a "master thread" for any given topic.

I'm sorry if you feel any of your previous posts were mis-merged, although I reviewed them today and the merging seemed appropriate given the parameters of this feedback forum. You can see that this thread is also labeled as "Idea" and revolves around integrating Skydrive (now OneDrive) in our products. We monitor this thread actively and really value your feedback. I would like to see more people +1 this thread and get more traction to the idea. Any other Get Satisfaction posts regarding this exact same issue will most likely also be merged into this thread.

And again--can't emphasize this enough--I also think this is a great idea! :-D

Best,
David Patton

ackling, there is no current ETA that I am able to announce right now. But what I can tell you is that additional Microsoft integration is a top priority here at TechSmith. We will certainly update this thread with more information as soon as it becomes available.

When I saw this update in my email inbox I thought it meant you guys had finally added OneDrive syncing functionality. Now I see it only means you removed a spam comment :(

Do you have any ETA on when this functionality will be available?

Sorry for the false alarm! No ETA on this functionality yet, but again, it's on our radar. Please stay tuned. Appreciate your patience.

Would just like to add my desire for OneDrive support for Snag-It as well.   I am a volume license owner of Snag-It and the employees here love it, and use Snag-It as much or more than any program outside of Outlook.   They certainly love it more than any other.
We recently moved out cloud storage to OneDrive, as they have really stepped up their game of late, and integration with Snag-It would just about make it the perfect solution/process for us.

Thank You, and continue the great work with your product!

My support for OneDrive (the artist formerly known as SkyDrive) as well. I was originally a Google Drive user but I had so many problems with it that I ended up loathing it. I intensely dislike the forced use of a MS Live account to log onto a Windows 8 machine to get OneDrive integration but that aside OneDrive has really ticked all of the boxes for me (at least now that I'm fully off Windows XP).
