If you want to record youtube, download Video Converter from http://www.freemake.com.  It is free.  Juts be careful when installing to ensure youre you uncheck all the boxes as this will install other free softeware that you don't need (PC tools etc).  This program is awesome.  Simply copy and paste the youtube URL into it and it will covert the vidoes to any format you want.  EG: MP4 MP3 Wav

Hi Jason,

The buzzing suggests that you have a connection problem somewhere. These can be tricky to track down, but if it's not a loose plug, could it be something else you have connected?  If you have any external devices connected, try removing then.  Are you able to try an alternative audio output as I've seen that being the source of such interference.

Hello,

As stated above, check connections, re-plug cables. etc.

Also make sure any other inputs are MUTED (0 volume) to make sure they're not contributing to the noise floor.

What OS are you using and are you using a Laptop or Desktop Computer? Another thing that would be nice to know is what Mic you are currently using and is it a USB Mic or something else. There are lots of answers or should I say items that can cause audio issues and tracking them down can be a tricky thing sometimes and a huge headache that causes frustration. But, more information may help to diagnose the issue.

Let us know and thanks for posting. Have a great day/night.

You should have access to a mixer panel; it opens on Playback - change to the Recording tab to display your inputs. Make sure everything except your mic input (or line input if using that) is all the way down to 0 on the scale.

Have you had a Windows update recently? My 8.1 laptop was acting oddly all of a sudden and going back to a System Restore point fixed my issues. Then the Windows update processed the second time without artifacts to PC behavior.
