I am trying to capture a full-motion video with Camtasia Studio 8. The process I am recording makes use of the Tab key. While the video is being recorded, the Tab key does nothing. Is there some Camtasia function that uses the Tab key that I'm not aware of?

Is your recording of a webpage or desktop app? I recently shot clips of a desktop application (running on Windows 7) where the user sees how to enter customer information; tab to move forward and shift + tab to reverse. Had no issues.

If you want to check if the key is assigned to something (unlikely I think) open the Record Screen dialog and go to Tools -> Options -> Hot Keys.

Hmmm... I started the recording from the taskbar icon and now it seems to work. More testing.

The tab key doesn't work if I am capturing from my second screen. If I use my main screen, it works fine.
