90 % of all my customers always have their phones close by, but not their computer.  It would be great if I could take a screen shot of what I am working on and send as a text message to my customer.   Photos do not work very well

Newer versions of Snagit allow you Snag and convert any text it contains to "text".  Could you show us a picture of what you want converted?

Okay, having a serious mental disconnect here. Images are not text. How does one send an image via "Text" messaging?

Sorry,  did not know quite how to express my thoughts.  Yes, I would like to send an image as a text message on my phone.  It would be great if my computer could hook up to my phone and I could then use to text message app to send the image.   Have not thought this through myself.  Just spur of the moment.

Why not get email addresses and send in an email attachment? There's gotta be a way.

I use TechSmith Fuse to send images from my phone to SnagIt. I was so hoping that maybe it worked both ways. Sadly not. But perhaps the thread linked below might offer you a way to accomplish it?

Newsflash: Photos can be sent as text messages (SMS).
However, sending SMSs from a computer is a well-known, but yet-to-be-solved issue.

Can you send a photo as a text message to a computer? I'd love to see this!

Nope, doesn't work either. Until I'm proven wrong, of course!

I know that my wife has sent me photos via text message from her phone to my phone. Of course, I have no idea how that works. Only that it does. And thankfully, when shopping it sure is nice to see a picture of something you are buying when a kabillion options are available.

But yeah, sending a text from the computer is what fogs my brain.

When you send a long message or a message with images or video , that is MMS

Short text messages is SMS.

Something to be aware of is that MMS messages can eat up the recipients data plan amount.

Though I have not done it you can setup to send text messages through email. Both SMS and MMS.

You send them through the receiving persons carrier gateway.

Maybe this info will explain it all better and allow you to set something up to share a Snagit
to your email and off to someones text messager.

As I said I have not tried to do this but you may find a workable solution by way of email
to send a capture to someone via text message.
