Snagit does have the capability to save directly to Camtasia Studio version 8 or higher. You need to add a new output accessory. You need Snagit 9 or higher. Go to https://TechSmith.com/snagit-outputs-....

Thank you for the reply. I think that for a feature that all programs offer for free (simple copy/paste of an image!) purchasing Snagit is a bit excessive

Your reply makes me wonder if you actually understand the full ability of Snagit. I am an Instructional Systems Designer. I develope online courses. I would not rely on any other image capture program on my PC. I don't rely on it just for capturing images, but for speeding up my design workflow, capturing menu pop ups that most capture softwares can't, and for basic image editing. Now I am an avid user of Photoshop, but Snagit can do some great image editing and costomizing at the click of a button instead of the slower methods in Photoshop. Newer versions of Snagit can do screen recording as well.

I am not sure what your need is, so it may not fit your needs. I just wanted you to know it does so much more than copy/paste. I have used Snagit for. Long time.

Thank you again. Yes, no doubt that Snagit is a great product. I usually record with camtasia coding session using Visual Studio or other IDE and this is my only extra little, LITTLE integrated 'feature' (it seems exagerate to me name it so). Come on! We are speaking of PASTE AN IMAGE! I've spent more than one hundred euros for a video recording and editing software which isn't capable to paste AN IMAGE?? Seriously? Oh... and there is, coincidently, a companion not free sw which I should buy to do that?

Hi and thanks for submitting your idea!

As outlined in our New Community Processes post, feature requests are open to voting up through the 1st of the month (this month is slightly different, due to the holidays) where we will then tally the votes and present the findings to our product teams. To ensure we have the most accurate data, on the 1st of the month we will be locking the threads that were listed in the Feature Request Round-up that was posted on the 15th. Once we have reviewed the submitted feature requests, our product team(s) may respond to the request, and if that is the case then that thread will then be unlocked for further discussion.

In the event that your idea is not selected for a response feel free to resubmit the idea and share it with your colleagues to garner as much exposure as possible!

Thank you again for your idea and we look forward to hearing more from you!

-Robert
