Whenever I finalize the video it takes long time to finalize it. And this problem started after updating windows in my pc. So is there any correlation between it? Please suggest me what should I Do?.

Details of versions
Snagit :  Versions 11.2.1 (Build 72)
   PC   :  Windows 10.0.14393

YES!  This is the same thing that happened to me.  I am a long time snag it user and it seems since the last windows update the finalizing video is taking a very long time.  I am also having an issue where the sound works for the first part of the video then just cuts out.

Having a similar problem. Have taken long Snagit videos (4-5 hours) before on the same computer and had no problem. Now, video render seems to take forever, and the resulting video is not working (picture is there, but no forward motion.) Windows updated last week, with no apparent errors.

I have Snagit and Camtasia 9. I am finding the recorder in Camtasia 9 to be far better than in 8. I have switched from Snagit to Camtasia for screen recording because of
issues with Snagit 13.

How long is a very long time?  I'm looking at my screen now, watching it take 10+ minutes for a 15 minute recording.  Should I hang on in there, or assume it's a lost cause?

If recording is not finished in one hour consider it as lost one. Being user of snagit for  about 10 years I actually am looking for reliable substitude to TechSmith products. Sorry to say that.

Am using windows 10 and video takes forever to finalize, and when finalizing is done the audio plays for only 2 seconds and cuts off after that, or sometimes the audio is all over the place, overlapping each other and mixed up. I use to love snagit for the simplicity of it, now is becoming a headache.

My video has taken over 5 hours and is still finalizing.
The length of the video is 2 hours 57 mins.
Yesterday  I was able to record a 56 min video, but based on previous failed experiences, thought I would need some luck to finalize this video.

Is there a known limitation on the length of a recorded video?

I think I have arrived at the point where I need to terminate the application.

SnagIt 12.4 Build 3038

Thank you

Have already stopped using SnagIt for that purpose a long time ago.
It is of no use to me, regretfully so. It did work a long time ago.
Feel sad to say here, for this purpose I need to use FastStone.

BTW I also use FastStone for capturing screenshots where SnagIt fails...

For instance, when taking screenshots of program settings.
At one point in the process the SnagIt hotkey doesn't work anymore, specifically when it involves a settings window panel that is called on from another settings window panel, which may also be part from a setting, i.e. a kind 2nd or 3rd level setting. Often the 2nd level can not be captured anymore, in that case I use portable FastStone.

Sorry, I admit, this is off-topic.
