Trying out the new Fuse app with Camtasia Relay 3.1. Recording with iPhone 4 iOS 4.3. File uploads ok but fails everytime during the processing.

"Encode Setting: Flash (Medium)
Queue Time: 0 seconds Source Format: MOV
Processing Time: 16 seconds Destination Format: mp4 View Encoding Files
Error Message: TechSmith.Relay.Manager.Worker.WorkerException: An error occurred in the encoder ---> System.Management.Instrumentation.InstrumentationException: An error occurred in the encoder ---> TechSmith.Relay.Manager.Worker.WorkerException: Code 74: Error initializing quicktime components ---> TechSmith.Relay.Manager.Worker.WorkerException: Code 2: No clips on the timeline --- End of inner exception stack trace --- --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at TechSmith.Relay.Manager.Worker.Encoder.Engine.RelayRenderEngine.IsComplete() at TechSmith.Relay.Manager.Worker.Encoder.Strategies.FlashStrategy.Run() at TechSmith.Relay.Manager.Worker.Encoder.EncoderWorker.DoWork() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---"

Anyone else having success with Fuse?

Thanks!

Is this with one video or with any Fuse video submitted to that server? The "No clips on the timeline" error is one that indicates there is something wrong with the source content. Was the video recorded in Fuse itself or was it recorded with your iOS recorder and then submitted to Fuse for processing? If you can send answers to these questions to http://support.techsmith.com as a Relay inquiry, our support staff can follow up with you to figure out what is happening with this transcoding. Thank you.

I'm sorry you've experienced it, and it's definitely not "expected behavior".

Does anyone know the best way to import videos from iphone4 to camtasia? The problem I have is that iphone4 records in HD 1980x1080 and it's not supported in camtasia. I downloaded an app to record in 720 but it didn't work either. Has anyone successfully done this?

Camtasia Studio 8 has vastly improved its capabilities for handling HD video. What version of Camtasia are you using?

Jaime,

Since I last responded to your post some one and half years ago, we've released TechSmith Fuse which allows you to quickly transfer your iPhone videos to CS8 over WIFI.

Version 8 handles the full HD videos a lot better although you still should be able to do it with 7.1. What I do is a connect my phone to my computer and I pull off the videos onto my harddrive to add into my Studio project.
