template capture name, to make saving captures slightly more flexible

Our team uses SnagIt to record videos and take images, for feedback to our development team.

We love the tool, and use the quick "Outputs" buttons on the bottom right to save and upload.

The videos are currently named something like:
  • YYYY-MM-DD-<unique_number_with_underscores>

This is helpful, as we have multiple people uploading videos to the same shared Google Drive folder.

However, what we've found even more helpful is to name the videos something like:
  • YYYY-MM-DD - <few short words>

This way, we can know what the video is about, and possibly even tie it back to the developer ticket with which it should be tied.

Hence, my suggestion is:
  1. in the configuration for Outputs, enable us to alter the format of the default name, so that it is easier for us to modify quickly and save for the team
  2. enable the user to choose how they arrange %Y, %m, %d, etc., and possibly create a new one like %u for the unique_number_with_underscores identifier with ).
  3. Likely use standard UNIX `date` formats, with a little help/reminder window for explanation of the different pieces.
  4. Pre-fill whatever the current format is ( something like %Y-%m-%d-%u)

One example of this is Fujitsu ScanSnap software, which enables you to set a filename output format to which it adheres, so you can scan-and-save much quicker/easier.
