I animate a text, the text appears slowly on the right side of a line.
I use crop tool and custom animation.
My problem is, I can not keep the left edge of the crop rectangle stay fixed. It moves during the animation. Example is attached
How can I keep the left edge of the crop rectangle fixed.
Thanks a lot in advance for the support.

Hi aral.dogan

I thought the best way to explain this was by example.

All you need to do is strategically mask out the text. It’s also pretty simple.

The first example is with a solid colored background like in your You Tube video.

The second example covers how to work with videos. I suspect you can fill in the rest of the dots for your application. If not, feel free to ask questions. {:>)

Hi Joe,
Thank you very much for the detailed explanation.
The way you explain was my way in creating my intro, that I use in many videos.
Since the text on left side is hidden by an object, I am in a position to correct it according to the background of each video.
I noticed the similar effect in Camtasia assets, "Modern Intro 2". This intro uses the same effect with a transparent background, by using the crop tool. I tried the similar approach, but can not succeed.
Anyway, thank you for your time.
Kind regards,
Dogan

Sorry, I misread the question.
Its a piece of cake in most applications. I'm a user of those applications.
I don't have the "Modern Intro 2"asset to dissect so I had to wing it.

So, the way I reading it now. You want to do this with the crop tool. Which to be fair, is a simplified and cleaner approach. In most cases.

Well, Camtasia uses non-traditional key framing. Which can complicate simple animations. You have to be one step ahead of the program.

Applying specific animations in the right order.

Heres the end result, you can see crop bounding box & text animating. There is no background. Just the canvas area.

Start with the Text and Line Callout.

Apply an animation and reposition the text.

Return the playhead to the start of the animation.
Turn on cropping and grab the left side handle.

Collapse the crop to the center of the line.

Be sure to set animation easing to "Linear"

Thats it, you're done  {:>)

Dear Joe,
Thank you very much for the support. I was unaware of the "easing" aspect.
Now it works perfect!
Thanks a lot...
