Text recognition for translation possible?

We are testing Snagit now and need to decide on purchase. Our decision will depend on the following: We are looking for a function allowing to recognize texts in a screenshot and sending them into translation. If I unterstand right, it is possible to translate annotations and call-outs. But is it possible to translate texts directly or to convert recognized texts into annotations, call-outs automatically and then translate?

Hi Abied - thanks for checking out Snagit to see whether it's a fit for the specific workflow you have in mind. Using a capture preset, you can capture a screenshot and run text recognition on it automatically, so that Snagit puts the text on your clipboard. Snagit does not currently handle auto-translation of text. But it will automate the process of extracting text from your callouts or text annotations, putting it into an xliff file for your translation team, then automate the process of duplicating your source screenshots and placing the translated text into them. For details on that, see: Using the Translation Workflow.

I hope this helps!
