The ability to speed up or slow down the timeline while editing.

It would be great if we could speed up the video during editing, to allow for quicker editing. I do not want it for the recorded version, just to reduce the time of the editing process.

An example is that I am doing tutorials that can be up to 3 hours of raw video and this needs to have pauses and mistakes removed. Currently it takes over 3 hours to edit this video as I have to watch the whole video at normal speed - this could be reduce to 90 minutes if I could edit the video in 2x or 4x speed.

I have seen that this has been in forums since 2012, so there is a call for this feature.

Thank you for your consideration.

Wow, how many years have people been asking for this now? {Looks at the related topics list on the right...} Oh, right, at least half a decade.

The ability to slow down in particular the playback would make audio editing far less tedious than it currently is by making it far easier to mark parts that you want to delete.  And gods yes, it IS tedious. +1 vote from me.

I can't believe this is still an opened issue.
I have just begun with the product after purchasing the licence yesterday. The request was echoed years ago by scores of users.
Come on now - Please move this forward!

I'm totally in agreement. I don't understand why this is not available. My videos are pretty long.
