the same camtasia file produces 2 different outputs

I have camtasia (the same version 8.5.1) installed on 2 different machines. I produce the same movie (which is a combintation of different mp4 clips) and get the output mp4 that on one machine has size 831 MB, while when produced on the other machine has size 172 MB. The second value seems much more reasonable as the total size of input mp4 files is around 160 MB.  What can be cause of this behavior?  It is annoying as I later share those movies and of course it is better to have smaller size if they are of the same quality.

please describe editing dimensions used and production specifications as set for each system

sounds like one production is using different production specs and criteria than the other?

first, the quality slider is set at too high a value [100]

re-position it down to about the 70% position

depending on what the subject is in the source MP4s, you may be able to reduce it further

if the subject is a screencast of a software app, try 50%; if the subject is high motion, full color content [like a camera video], then 70 will be best

FYI, the higher the quality, the larger the file size

qualities improvements above 70 are hard to notice, if at all

are you sure you set up both systems using the same values?

Thanks for the fast response, I just noticed the quality slider was at 50% on the other machine. Now I produced the movie again and everything is fine.  But I will try with 70% in the future.
