The quality of my screenshots is very poor with capturing an image and copy & pasting it.  Can this be addressed?

Hi Ava

The operative word there that confuses me is "copy." Why would you "copy" a screenshot as opposed to placing a screenshot image.

Otherwise, screen resolution is much lower than printing resolution. Are you pasting or placing the image and then upscaling it?

Hi,

In Snagit's advanced preferences, make sure to uncheck "Scale down retina images when sharing", as this applies to images that are copied as well.

Hi Luke - I believe this would be helpful, but I don't see "advanced preferences" anywhere, only preferences.  Please advise.

Hi Ava,

It's under preferences in the advanced tab:

Ah, ok.  Is there a free version of SnagIt or only the trial version?
