The Techsmith SmartPlayer needs to support variable speed playback.

Viewers need to be able to speed up the video playback, especially when watching a video for the second or third time, to get to the information they are looking for.  It can be excruciating to have to watch at normal speed, when you just want to review the content really quickly.

I don't see it.  Can you explain exactly how to activate this?  It is not obvious on my controllers.

I'd prefer chapter markers.

Maybe? Click on 1 of 10 chapters in the TOC, and it'll would take you there immediately. Yes, that would be great.
But starting the video and hitting next, next, next,  . . until it got there would be a lot better speeding up play.

A TOC would be great!  Or thumbnails on the player bar.

We can create a TOC using custom options, but it would be nice if it was embedded in the mp4 or, again, even just thumbnail images when cursor hovers over the player bar.
