Time Lapse Video

As a ham radio operator running lots of software for various forms of communications including the fact that the radio I use is a Software Defined Radio  there are occasions  where an event on screen may only occur every so often I would like to record portions or all of a screen in a time laps format. 1 frame ever x seconds or x frames per second.  I have been thru all the settings and can not find this in Snagit or Camtasia. An armature astronomer friend wanted to do this with the display from his telescope that gets sent to the tracking and viewing computer. Right now he captures a series  of individual frames then has to process them into a time lapse video.

In SnagIt you are able to define an interval that will perform a capture every so many seconds (or time of your choosing)

I just created a preset that looks like this:

The "secret sauce" seems to be to enable the Time Delay option.

Cheers... Rick :)

And in Camtasia, you can configure the recorder for a low frame rate:

Rick,
Thanks so much for your reply,  I was able to set Camtasia up and it works fine. I like that better that the SnagIt method but  it nice to know both ways.
Best Regards (or in Ham Radio Speak it's "73")
