Tracking plays with Google Tag Manager

I've been working with Google Tag Manager to keep track of events for Google Analytics. I'm having a lot of trouble getting it to track clicks on embedded Camtasia videos. I have video up from a video host and they are able to track plays, how much of the video they watched etc... in tag manager and it shows up in analytics, but since the Camtasia player is an iframe, I've been having issues with their listener(or even the custom listener I've tried) tracking the click.

What would you suggest? I've tried tracking an id with the "click ID" in tag manager, url, etc... I would greatly appreciate any ideas!

Thank you!

Wanted to put a little more info. I know it can read if we push the interaction into the data layer, but there again since this is pulling the video from the _player.html page, I have no idea how to do that.
