Tracks split after recording

I have been using Camtasia to record classes for years. Tonight is the second time that after I finish the recording and saving the .trec file, it opens in Camtasia with the video and the audio tracks split immediately. Looking closely, there is a gap as the audio track is shorter than the video (by 9 seconds over a one hour recording, but it is still not normal).

I have not changed any settings in the recording as that is how I use all the time.

Any explanation as to why it happens? Or a solution to this?

I have not changed any setting, and I was only recording the front mic (not the camera and not the system audio).

I have the same issue, and I use a mic with Camtasia 8.6 -- the audio
recording is slightly shorter (I've never gone 1 hour -- usually recording just 1-2 minutes at a time) and the audio is out of sync with what I spoke.  I end up working around it by sliding the audio until it is all back in sync.  It's an annoyance.
