Yes, the product key is good for both Windows and Mac (versions 10 and 1 respectively).

Thanks Jason. I have the Mac trial running now. How do I access the snagit-for-the-mac location where I can enter the key?

If you have Snagit open:

1) Click the Snagit menu and choose the "Activate..." submenu:

2) This window will display, enter your key in the text field near the bottom and press the "Activate" button.

Hope this helps, have a great day :)

Thanks Jason. I just noticed that you are Lead Developer. In which language is SnagIt for Mac written? What about SnagIt for the PC?

Jason, I entered my key in the Activation Key field, but the Activate button never...well... never activates. Please advise.

Snagit on Mac is written in Objective-C with Cocoa. Snagit on Windows is written in MFC.

For the key issue, check this help article we have posted: http://bit.ly/sISuK3. Usually, the biggest gotcha for the key is having space(s) at the beginning or end of the key when you copy and paste.

The link above does not go to an article.  Can you post the correct link?  I'm having the same problem as the original poster.

Jason, there may be a bug: When I followed your steps above, the Activate button would not activate. However, when I restarted SnagIt and was prompted to enter the key, the button was activated and I was able to complete the process. It may be that I entered/pasted a different string. I'll leave it to you ObjectiveC geniuses to figure out. :) Thanks for your help.
