Transparent background lost when copying and pasting

I have Snagit 13 and when copying from the editor to the clipboard, it loses the transparent background. I noticed this only started happening over the last couple of days. No, I have not changed any settings. I am in the middle of grabbing screenshots for a PowerPoint presentation and while I could simply save them out as a .png, it used to work. I posted this in the wrong forum originally so I moved to the correct one. :) The suggestion was made to paste with keep formatting, however, that is not even an option.

Others may another idea.

Just curious,  is the option I posted here

https://feedback.techsmith.com/techsmith/topics/transparent-background-lost-when-copying-and-pasting

Not viable to use or work?

I'm using Snagit 2018 but that is how I have always done it when pasting from the clipboard.

I use Powerpoint quite alot.

Again just curious

:)

Something odd like that can be hard to track down.

Reinstalling the program is overkill inmost cases. A repair install can set things like this right in just a couple of minuets.
Repair installs leave your personal setting in tack 99% of the time so it's much less intrusive than a reinstall as well. It's a programs way of resetting itself without "So to speak" without frustrating the user.
You run it from the Control panel as if you were going to uninstall the program.Choose Repair instead.
Regards,Joe
If you run it, I'd like to here if it clears up the issue.
