TSCC codec doesn't work for wmv files

All I'm trying to do is view the videos found here http://www.rose-hulman.edu/~doering/ece200/examples.htm  That's it.  I've downloaded every codec file I can find from techsmith, tried vlc player, divx player and even installed camtasia studio.  Windows media player won't open them at all, vlc plays the audio only, and divx will show video only if scrolled through.  The files wouldn't import into camtasia studio at all, giving a codec error similar to windows media player.
Is this software dead?  No way to play in a W7 machine?

Have you contacted the author of those files? The chance is that those files  were not created by Camtasia.
