Two step operation for all shape configurations in Snagit 13?

This appears to be "new" for Snagit 13. If you want, say, an imake with torn edges AND a drop shadow AND a border, you appear to have to go into the "Edges" section where all these formatting functions are listed then do the torn edges AND apply, the do the drop shadow AND apply and add the border AND apply.

Really? Seriously??

Why can't I save a quick style for the above and have it quickly available somewhere easy to click on. This functionality may already be available, but unlike say Snagit 11, its not easy to see how one can use it.

Any ideas?

You can save many of your customized shapes or effects for use latter.

For a shape you have customized there will be a new shape added in the quick styles that you just click on to add it

For say a effect (edges) you can save certain ones when you have made your customization just click
"Add to Quick Effects" button to add it to that group of effects

Hi all - Still, in the latest, every time a make a new capture and click on Shape, I get a filled rectangle, and I want, pretty much always, to use an un-filled ellipse -  the red circle icon in the defaults.  I'd prefer Snagit remember the last shape I used and just use that the next time.  I'm pretty sure that is how it used to be....

Yep, same issue as Pascal here. Why can't you set the exact shapes that you use as the default ones anymore!

Every single time I open snagit, I need to choose the default shape / fill / step / colour / shape, did I mention that it is ever time.

Imagine that you have to do this every time.

That is time and time again.

Just when you open and start using it.

So not only when you use it, but when you use it.

So, as you can read, it becomes annoying if you need to do it often.

Maybe, before you release software, you should actually put it to use in real world repetitive scenarios and not skimp on must haves!

Note: If you can set it, you have hidden the setting somewhere that most users can't find it.

Breaking news!! I have deleted all the Quick Styles under the shape tool apart from the one I want to use. Now when I open the app / take a capture, and select the tool, the exact style is available for use right away, the same works for the Step tool etc...

Not perfect, but as is the case with most poor software, there is a workaround.

Nope, didn't work for all tools, on the Step tool it reverts to a default red filled circle with white text!!

Seriously AWFUL!!!!

This is very frustrating.. The new version has this issue that the old version didnt.
I never want to use the filled shape as default. every time it is extra clicks that should not be required.
