I would love a text animation or transition that looked like someone was typing in text. Heck, it could even have a cheesy keyboard clicking sound. A few controls for speed and maybe "randomness" (so it mimics the random pacing of typing) would be cool too.

I really like the new clip speed tool, it helps with this. It's just that, sometimes, you want text to appear that wasn't actually there in the first place.

Hey Chris,

Nice idea.

Did you try recording yourself typing in a document the same size as the area you wanted to have text, then use Remove a Color to take out the background, or if the background of the text box is white, you could just use TextEdit.

Hey Conan, you handsome devil,

Nice example. And, I like the use of the new remove a color feature.

So, the reason I thought of this, was actually for a callout. I have a long URL and I wanted it to come up on the screen as if I typed it. But, this certainly is a valid workaround, even for my use case. I just didn't want to record something else, I just wanted a text callout to do the work for me. Cause, i'm lazy like that.
