Is there a way to paste a Snagit screen capture into a Word document such that I can still type next to the Snagit image in Word? I often to Snagit screen shots for documentation but they don't take up the whole page horizontally. I'd like to be able to type documentation next to them. Thanks so much!

The easiest way I found to accomplish this was to create a two column table - drop the snagit image in one column and add your text in the other. If you are comfortable using the Draw a Table feature it provides even greater flexibility in how you place your images and text. If you don't want the look of a table just remove the border lines.

You might also consider just expanding your image's canvas and adding text boxes to the image.

In another job I had to create many many training handouts and tech sheets - I preferred using the Word table option as it provided the most flexibility especially if/when I needed to edit the text as it was just an edit of the text I didn't have to manipulate the image. It also allowed me to reuse many of the screen shots with different text.

Thank you for the feedback and response. There is no way in Snagit to change how the text will wrap in Microsoft Word when you paste an image.

The suggestions above are great! The only other idea I had is that in Word you can adjust the text wrap to "Square" and then you can type next to your image.

Thanks again,
