Unable to save as file (PNG). Please help me.

My PC says it does not recognize the file. But it is new with a new name. Non techs like me... :-(

OK, can you give us a little more detail?  How does this manifest itself?

I create a snapshot and go to editor to edit it. Then I want to save it as a file... PNG. I cannot save it because I get a notification in Dutch: something like:
"Cannot find the file. Check the filename and try again."

When Snagit opens my virus detector says something real quick.

Yes as Paul has said ...

Is this the first time it's happened?

Did you try rebooting your machine and trying again?

Have you used other png files before?

Given that you are seeing a brief message from your antivirus software I would suggest that you temporarily disable it and try again.

If it works then there's something in your AV settings that needs changing

Hmmm, I think it is has to do with safety. Because through Google Drive I was able to create a PNG file... pfff

It sounds as if SnagIt is not a trusted app and that is why you can't save files.  Look at your AV settings.

Thanks... I have created a new folder for Snagit... and? It works... now I can download and save my creations....
