Hello,

Do you get any sort of error?
Here's a knowledge base article that might help: http://techsmith.custhelp.com/app/ans...

If you don't get an error, I have an idea what the problem might be.

One pain point with video is that you could have 3 MP4s that all have the .mp4 extension and look the same on the "outside" but in fact, are technically different on the inside.

It gets complicated really fast, but the MP4 is like a container that holds the actual properties of the audio and video (and sometimes even other data). A good example is that you could have two MP4s and one plays on an iPhone and one does not.

I'm curious where you got the MP4, because it likely has some properties inside that are conflicting with Camtasia Studio.

I would suggest opening a ticket with our Tech Support team. When you do so, there is an option to attach a file. Attach the MP4 in question, and our Tech Support folks have a tool they can use to "crack it open" and see all the details inside. From here, we might find out what to do next.

You can reach them here: http://techsmith.custhelp.com/app/uti...

That's my best guess at least; I hope you will let me know how it turns out.
Thanks for posting,
Mike Curtis

This is a weird answer. I have the problem with video I filmed on the same camera on the same day. How can it be different?
