Unable to login to Facebook

Maybe just a temporary glitch with Facebook, but I have been unable to login to Facebook from ScreenChomp for about 24 hours. I tried a different Fb account and had the same problem. I get... "Unable to login. I am having a problem talking to Facebook right now."

After not using SC for about 6 days, I uninstalled and reinstalled SC to quickly clear about 70 items from the menu. Afterwards the problem appeared.

The following did not help:
Quiting ScreenChomp from list of running apps.
Restart.
Uninstalling SC, then reinstalling from app store again after a restart.
Trying to login to Fb from the login to Fb "sign" on the "green" page.

Thanks

Rich I do not use ScreenChomp so maybe someone from TechSmith can check that out for you. However yesterday I had trouble logging into my Facebook Account but I can do it today so it could have been on Facebook's side. Keep us posted and thanks for posting. Have a great day!

More intel from this poor orphan. The problem occurs on all three facebook accounts I have, and occurs while using 4G, and on 4 different WiFi systems.

If I reset my iPad to factory standards and reinstate from the cloud, I expect for my trouble, the problem would remain and something new would go wrong, so...

I give up.

Uninstalled ScreenChomp. Did a two button shut down. Did a restore to factory settings. Restored iPad. Reinstalled ScreenChomp. Still can't login to any of my Facebook accounts. What's up with that?

At apple store now. The problem is reproducible. Using a different iPad, also a third generation iPad, and a different Facebook account, the same problem occurs.

I'm not able to use the "Login" ICON successfully.

The 1st time I used it, after installing the App onto iPad, I was prompted for my Facebook login info. I entered the correct values and the prompt screen disappeared. But, now when I select "Login" or when I attempt to upload a ScreenChomp to Facebook I get, "Connection failed".

Please note that I'm able to upload to the ScreenChomp cloud, access the internet using Safari, open Facebook using Safari, and open the Facebook App.

Any suggestions?

Hi Buggy, right now there is no good work around. To be clear, you do NOT need to log into Facebook to use the app or share your video. You can just click the screenchomp.com button and get a link where your video can be found.
