I cannot flip a captured image because there is no "FLIP" option under Image/rotate. This apply to Snagit 2018 version

I agree. It can't be that hard to program into Snagit. As it is now I have to save a Snagit Capture and then open Paintshop Pro or Photoshop to flip an image. Horrible was of time for something so simple that could be added to Snagit.

I just don't understand. They took a product (ver 13 and prior) that everyone loved and recommended and turned into something that almost no one likes.

I don't think you can speak for the majority. You don't like it. Don't project that on to others. I'm still using it 20 times a day and like it.

Not to argue but look at the comments (hundreds) and see if you still think the majority of users are happy.

You can find the flip options under: Image > Arrange > Flip [vertical/horizontal]

"Arrange"? Most software considers "arrange" to be more like alignment and Z-axis relatonship. Rotate, Flip, Mirror are all related manipulations of the image itself, not is location/placement on the document.

Post that as an idea and I will support it. Consolidating things like this would improve the product. Consolidating the Options that are scattered all over is another idea, but it has been posted and I do not want to hijack your thread

I'm embarrassed to say I don't know where to make that suggestion officially. Point me at it or go ahead and do it and I'll add my support to it.

Just create a New Post with your idea as the title, and classify it as an idea

Okay. Over the weekend from home. I'll add some screenshot examples of the desired rearrangement etc. A bit more than I can do while at the office.

Hi there
Is it possible that perhaps you have drawn a shape and the shape has "focus"? If so, the command will operate on the shape and not the image.

THANK you, David@ I've been looking for the Flip feature and couldn't find it in any place where I thought it made sense for it to be. I even tried searching the Help file in Snagit and the online help. NOTHING!

Most other programs I know put flip under or next to rotate because that's where you'd expect to find it. It's so closely related that that is where your mindset is.

Click the "More" button in the toolbar and then at the bottom of the menu click "Customize Toolbar..."
In the popup window click and drag the "Rotate Image" icon onto the toolbar where you want it.
Click the Done button.

Dubie:)
