undo explanation

The Undo button doesn't describe what I'm undoing. So I don't know how far back to undo or exactly what I did. For instance, I clicked on a segment of video and it looked like it moved. When hover over the undo it doesn't tell me that I'm undoing a move, or a recent edit or anything. I have to guess how far back my changes were, etc...

Unfortunately,
Camtasia doesn't have a history panel that keeps track of your input like some other programs do.
You could post it as an idea to add a history panel.I'll vote yes for it if you do.

One of the problems I have had with CS8 is the issue of undo's.  The idea of a history panel (ala Photoshop) would be helpful.  Even being positioned at the beginning position of the object being changed would help.

Simple example.  Add a callout, move to a different point on the timeline, Undo should move you to where the callout was just deleted.  To see what was changed simply Redo.  Not perfect but more helpful than simply knowing something changed.
