I have an grouped object in the beginning of my video. It contains 1 static image and a 2 images that i zoom into to. When i select the group right click and select un group Camtasia becomes unresponsive and i have to force close the program. This is a problem since i need to edit and trim these. Any Thoughts. Thanks

ungrouping, even for groups at the start of the project, should work OK; I use a lot of start-video groups, and have not seen that issue

could you make a short screencast, showing the project on timeline, and also showing the problem happening; host on screencast.com, and share the link here?

perhaps we can see what may be causing the problem,

Charles, I suggest going to Edit > Preferences > Advanced and checking the setting for Hardware Acceleration. If it's set to "Use GPU...", change it to "Use software-only mode". Close and reopen Camtasia and try your editing again.

I had a big problem with unresponsiveness and corruption of projects until I did this. In my case, I'm using an older business-class PC with integrated graphics for which there are no recent drivers and I'm running Windows 7. This is apparently a "perfect storm" for these types of issues. If your hardware is newer and/or more robust, try updating your video driver, as that may be enough to solve the problem and allow you to use hardware acceleration.

I'm glad I could help; I know how frustrating these problems can be. If your PC is new enough to have current video drivers, I would try updating when you have a chance. Tech
Support says that you get better performance with the GPU enable, assuming that there aren't any issues.
